As specialist suppliers of structural, industrial and crating timber, with over 50 years of experience in the timber supply industry, Thesen needed a brand update due to a name change. The new company name came from the CEO and founder himself, Peter Allan. It, therefore, holds a lot of equity and has a lot of heritage attached to it so our approach was to make it striking and simple, whilst highlighting elements of structure and building. 

 The bold, sans serif typeface chosen was to show that although they have a lot of experience in the industry, this change symbolised a modern approach to a new season. 

 Focus was placed on the “P” and the “A” of the name, in order to bring in edges and slants that symbolise timber being put together and support structures being formed. It also created the opportunity to create a logomark for the refreshed brand, using the initials.
