Being based on the banks of the beautiful Goukou River in Stilbaai, Kleinbergskloof benefits from the cool coastal climate ideal for growing olives, as well as specific limey soils that give their olives a very distinct and award-winning taste. 

The brand identity of the farm carried a lot of brand equity, being well know not only for their olive oil and balsamic vinegar but also as a picturesque wedding and events venue.  

 We were approached to design new packaging for the olive oil and balsamic vinegar in 250ml and 500ml dark glass dome-shaped bottles. The aim of the new design was to hero the logo, the logomark (the olive branch) and the product details, using intricate white typography on the dark bottles. 

 Using a technique of screen-printing, we could still hero the liquid colour of the olive oil, when light shines into the bottle and reflects the golden hues, without covering it all up with a label. 

 The 250ml olive oil and balsamic vinegar gift sets, uses a drastically enlarged logomark on both and creates a complete 

 For the 250ml gift set of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, we enlarged the logomark and placed it in perfect alignment on each, in order to create a complete logomark when the bottles are displayed together. 

 The photography aimed to show the effect of the stark black and white elements, adding an emotive layer when paired with shadows, olive branches and light.
